The Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach

It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that Cindy and Ian were back here in Southern California for their Arts District engagement session, and yet, their beautiful wedding at the Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach has now come and gone. It was an incredible day: lively, stylish, and the perfect mix of Virginia meets Southern California.

As advertised, the Waterfront Beach Resort overlooks Huntington Beach, and as the wedding day began, the smell of the sea was thick in the air. Mid-March in Huntington Beach brings with it plenty of golden sunshine, which glared down on us through the afternoon and gave the whole day its Southern California feel, perfect for Cindy and Ian’s wedding day.

On their wedding day, these two were just as fun as at their engagement session, bringing the country western flavor to Orange County as they created a relaxing environment for their guests to be entertained. I knew I couldn’t expect any less from Cindy, the sister of my long-time photography assistant, Carlos, but I couldn’t have imagined what a pleasant and enjoyable setting they would create for their nuptials. With an amazing team of wedding vendors behind them, unique ideas to create a personal touch for their wedding day, and the vibrant love Cindy and Ian share, March 20th was a day to remember!

 

Before the ceremony, Cindy shared a special moment with her mom first, and then with her dad. It was so sweet to see her parents’ love for her on her wedding day.

Her dress by Stella York was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen – it was a creamy sand color, and one of the most stunning wedding gowns ever.

I loved Cindy’s simple, elegant bouquet by Flowers, Etc.

Equally awesome was Ian’s boutonniere, also by Debbie at Flowers, Etc.

 

As a perfect finishing touch on their Huntington Beach wedding at the Waterfront Beach Resort, Cindy and Ian had a mariachi band, helping us dance the night away!
